For as long as I can remember, dogs have been more than pets to me. They’re family, best friends, and some of the purest magic we get to experience in this life.

But the real story behind FairyTail Grooming starts with one little dog.

The Little Dog Who Started It All

Comet was my delicate little flower.

He needed a little extra patience, a gentle hand, and someone who understood that not every dog experiences grooming the same way. Finding a groomer who could give him that was tough.

So, naturally, I decided I’d just groom him myself so I knew he was treated kindly. (He looked pretty 'ruff' at times!)

But somewhere between the questionable haircuts and learning how to care for him, something clicked.

I realized this wasn’t just something I wanted to do for Comet. It was something I wanted to do for other dogs, too. I wanted to be the groomer I had spent so long looking for. The one who takes her time. Who listens when a dog is communicating. Who understands that sometimes a little extra patience makes all the difference. That little idea stayed with me for years.

During a difficult season of life, I needed a second job and decided that if I was going to spend my weekends working, I wanted to do something that made me happy. I became a dog bather at PetSmart, and what was supposed to be “just a side job” changed everything. I loved it. The dogs. Their different personalities. Learning their quirks. Building trust with them. Getting to know the people who loved them. It was the confirmation I needed: this wasn’t just something I dreamed about doing someday. This was what I was meant to pursue.

So I started saving.

In 2025, I enrolled at Utah School of Pet Grooming in Midvale, Utah, where I became a Certified Pet Stylist. My education included not only technical grooming skills, but canine psychology, learning more about how dogs think, communicate, and respond to the world around them. And suddenly, all those years of dreaming, saving, learning, and loving one particularly delicate little dog came together.

FairyTail Grooming was born. 

Grooming Built Around Your Dog

I created FairyTail because I believe grooming should be about so much more than getting a haircut. Your dog isn’t an appointment on my schedule. They’re your baby. They have preferences, fears, favorite things, weird little quirks, good days, and sometimes days when they need a little more patience. My job is to pay attention to all of it. That’s why FairyTail is built around one-on-one, personalized care. There are no kennels full of barking dogs and no assembly line of pups waiting their turn. Your dog has my full attention, right outside your home. I want to build a relationship with them. I want to learn what makes them comfortable, recognize the things that make them nervous, celebrate their progress, and become someone they know they can trust. Because a successful groom isn’t just about how beautiful your dog looks when they step out of the Pupkin Carriage.

It’s about how they felt while they were in it. (And yes, I absolutely want them to look ridiculously adorable, too.)

A Little Piece of Comet in Every Groom

Comet passed away in 2025, but he’s still woven into FairyTail in more ways than most people realize.

The little dog in my logo was inspired by him.

A piece of my delicate little flower has been part of FairyTail from the very beginning. And I like to think that every time I give a nervous pup a little extra patience, every time a dog becomes a little braver than they were at their last appointment, and every time I earn the trust of a pup who wasn’t quite sure about me at first, a little piece of Comet is right there with me. He was my reason before I even knew I had a dream. Now, he’s part of the reason I get to live it.

So when you trust me with your dog, I don’t take that lightly. I know exactly what it feels like to hand someone a piece of your heart and hope they’ll treat them with the same love and patience you would.

That’s the kind of groomer I needed for Comet.

And that’s the Fairy Groommother I promise to be for yours.
